Mt.Yotei looking greener than green

by | Jun 10, 2014 | News | 0 comments

We can’t get enough of Mt.Yotei…. year after year, all through the seasons. After last weeks hot weather in Niseko temperatures have returned to normal for this time of year in the low to mid 20’s.

It is not unusual for people visiting in winter to not see Mt.Yotei for days or even weeks on end as the mountain is often shrouded in thick clouds. When it does appear unexpectedly it really stops people in their tracks (no pun intended). This actually happens throughout the year and yesterday was one of those days.

The last of the snow is nearly gone and the summer hiking season on Mt.Yotei officially starts this weekend with the Mt.Yotei Hut opening its doors to hikers. Please take a look at our Mt.Yotei Hut virtual tour and explore the area… you can even take a look into the crater.

Last year a new hut was built up there next to the existing one so we will have to get up there soon and update our content.
