Lake Toya Delight

Lake Toya is only 45 minutes from Niseko and a staggeringly beautiful throughout the year. Last weekend the Autumn colours were at their peak and we had the chance to explore the lake by boat.

We first headed out to the island ( Nakajima ) and then cruised around the lake marvelling at the spring colours in perfect weather.

If you are visiting over the winter Toya is still a great sightseeing destination with plenty of things to see and do and we highly recommend a visit.

Enjoying the daily updates of late during the build up to the season. Great to see the landscape during Autumn.
Out of curiosity, what is the water temperature of Lake Toya during Summer?
