*16cm of fresh snow has fallen in the last 24hrs just outside of Hirafu Village. At 7:00 today the temperature was -8°C.
Storm conditions last night delivered a healthy layer of heavy snow which should help filling the gaps left by the recent warm weather. Conditions at the base now are still overcast, cold and slightly windy. If you venture out today be cafefull of the “dust on crust” effect in wind blown areas.
