The Goshiki Loop

One of the most rewarding road cycling routes in the Niseko area is the “Goshiki Loop”. From Hirafu village this route takes riders over the Mt.Annupuri range via route 58.

The ride is suitable not only to enthusiasts but can also be enjoyed slowly as there are plenty of attractions along the way and interesting places to stop relax and take in the stunning views.

That being said anyone attempting the ride should have a good level of fitness as well as some experience touring by bike. Generally the 45km “Goshiki Loop” takes between 2 and 5 hours depending on ability and fitness level.

After a long climb the road crosses over the range between Mt.Annupuri and Mt.Iwaonupuri and then finally starts heading downhill past Goshiki onsen.

From Goshiki there is a long downhill section until route 58 finishes. Then turn left onto route 66 towards the Chisenupuri Ski Ground.
