A beautiful time of year…the color is hanging in there but for how much longer?
This morning a major typhoon is heading north and will pass Hokkaido on the Pacific side later today. The strong winds and torrential rain along with the salt picked up by the typhoon will have a dramatic effect on the colors.
Overnight the temperature dropped to 1 degree in Hirafu village.
The peak of Mt. Annupuri was covered in a thick frost….not quite snow by the looks of it.
