Last weekend on the 6th we were lucky enough to be invited on Hokkaido Backcountry Club’s test day operating the their snowcat tour. The HBC team have worked tirelessly over the last year or more with the support of Shimamaki town to get the tours happening and the dream is now a reality. In a nut shell the snowcat tours give people the chance to safely ski or snowboard laps through the expansive terrain of Karibiyama guided by professionals.

In our opinion this tour is one of the best trips we have ever done and can’t wait to get back out there!!
