Last weekend the Grand Hirafu Mountain Bike Park opened for the summer season and it is looking sweet!

There has been a lot of work done to the track over the last month in preperation for the opening. The course has changed significantly from last year, most notably with the final section of the track now cutting back down through Onsenzawa instead of down the Alpen course.

Rhythm Cycles staff together with lots of eager locals have built bridges and put in the hard work required improve the track. Cutting and digging the track into the mountain by hand is no easy task. All this effort has taken downhill mountain biking to the next level here in Niseko.

The course is open to the the public to ride but reservations are required through Rhythm Cycles who run professional 3 hour guided tours and also offer complete rental services.
