Add to that November’s total of 125cm and today’s new year dump of 17cm which now brings us to a total of 579cm of accumulative snow fall. This morning Grand Hirafu reported a compacted snow depth of 130cm at the base of the mountain and 300cm at the mountain peak .

Food for thought… last season we recorded 5.1 meters of accumulative snowfall for December 2011. The first 9 days of January are looking good!!
