For the last few years in the green months it has not been hard to notice a small plane flying quite often around the Niseko region. Niseko Aviation was pioneered by local resident Ben Kerr who had dream of getting his pilots license and creating a small air strip on his farm in Hirafu – you read that right.
Ben was not daunted by the obvious challenges including a relatively short runway and went to Alaska for flight training using large inflatable tires to facilitate short take offs and landings. Ben has made the dream a reality and he got some fat tires ( he has a winter set ) and took 360niseko up for a jaw dropping flight over Mt.Yotei and the region. Behold!
