The Niseko Classic is a calendar qualifier event for the UCI (Union CyclisteInternationale) Gran FondoWorld Series. Qualifiers then have the opportunity to advance to the UCI Gran FondoWorld Championships in Varese, Italy (30 Aug –2 Sep, 2018).
Being the only World Series Gran Fondoevent in Japan, and offering entrants a challenging course with closed roads and breathtaking scenery, the Niseko Classic is quickly gaining a reputation as Hokkaido’s most exciting race.
New to 2018, introducing a Time Trial race on Saturday 7th July, with the 70km and 140km races on Sunday 8th July. There is also a Fun Ride Event available on the Saturday, with the cycling festival (food, drinks, music, cycling gear shops and giveaways) running over the weekend.
