Well folks the day has come. First snowfall on Mt.Yotei and Mt.Annupuri for the 2016-17 season!! We have heard rumours of Mt.Yotei being dusted in frost or snow up to 3 weeks ago but we didn’t see it. If anyone has a shot or a link please share it with us. Two days ago there was definitely some white stuff at the top of Mt.Yotei but it didn’t last long. Today is a different story.
Last night a strong cold front rolled through the region and this morning Mt.Yotei and Mt.Annupuri were coated is a decent layer of fresh snow. Not enough for first tracks but great to see but plenty to get excited about. It will be interesting to see how long it will take for the snow level to reach down Hirafu Village and when first tracks will be made!
