It has been a while since we reported on the upgrade of the King Hooded Quad Lift and yesterday seemed like a good time to get up there and take a closer look. The old lift has been completely removed. Unfortunately the Hiking courses on the upper mountain have been closed due to the construction so were unable to check out the upper section but did manage to snoop around the lower section….

Everything looks in order and the lift should be ready for the coming season. The extension of the lift line should make a big difference to the flow on the mountain and more importantly no more annoying walks up from the Hirafu Gondola. If the new lift can handle the wind….hallelujah!
