*6cm of fresh snow has fallen in the last 24hrs in Hirafu Village. At 6:30 today the temperature was -10°C.
A glorious sunrise here in Niseko – lets hope the good weather lasts throughout the morning. The colder temperatures this morning seem to have sucked the moisture out of the snow and we have an awesome layer of light dry powder here in the village.
Higher up on the mountain there probably hasn’t been enough snowfall for a total reset but it is safe to say the skiing and boarding will be pretty darn good!
Remembrance Night
Yesterday marked the 3rd anniversary of the massive earthquake that struck at 14:46 off Japan’s Tohoku coast in 2011.
Throughout Japan candles lit to remember the thousands who perished.
