Snowing presently in Hirafu and there is a heavy layer on wet snow on everything this morning.The heavy layer of snow will push down the remaining bamboo quickly now and forests will soon be transformed into open powder fields. Visibility will be limited on the mountain today but snow conditions higher up should be great.

Night Skiing
Last night saw the beginning of night skiing in Grand Hirafu. Hirafu’s night skiing is incredible as there is a huge amount of ski-able terrain open. If you have never tried night skiing in Grand Hirafu and are heading to Niseko this season make sure you give it a go.
