*6cm of fresh snow was not blown away in the last 24hrs just outside of Hirafu Village. At 7:00 today the temperature was -1°C.
We all know a lot more than 6cm fell in the last 24 hours, but due to the intensity of the storm yesterday 6cm is all we are left with to record. The weather this morning looks calm with a light snow fall. Needless to say there will be many new powder stashes on the mountain. Have a safe day.
UPDATE: Glen sent through a photo from his weather station in Hirafu where the depth for the last 24 hours is 22cm. Because of the storm the figures are a bit all over the place, but anyone that lived through last night knows a lot of snow came down.
