This seasons snowfall started off slower than usual. As a result “the Peak” finally opened January 10th. This is around 2 weeks later than usual. The peak is the summit of Mt.Annupuri, accessed by the top of the King #4 lift in Grand Hirafu through gate #3.
These days it is a tactical mission to be in position early enough to get to the goods and not stuck in lift lines. Below is a video of Jaimi French and Zac Hill running the gauntlet to the peak with hundreds of other frothing powder hunters.
