Autumn weather is often very unstable here in Niseko with rain followed by clear sunny spells followed by more rain cycling through out the day – this has been the pattern of the weather over the last few days.

With the temperatures steadily dropping at higher elevations the rain is now falling as snow. First snowfall was observed on Mt.Yotei on the 13th of October – 2 weeks later than last year.
