It’s of no surprise that the majority of people traveling to Niseko in winter do so for the snow. Skiing, snowboarding and the other snow sports match perfectly with the quantity and quality of snow that dumps consistantly thoughout the winter.
But you can’t take the snow home with you – and when it comes to bringing gifts home to friends, loved ones and relatives who didn’t come with you, memories, videos and photos don’t always cut it.
Thankfully, over the past few years a number of gift shops have opened in Niseko that provide great souvenirs and memorabilia, and one such place is Gift Shop Niseko.
Gift Shop Niseko offers products ranging from Ainu artifacts, works from Japanese artists, Niseko-related clothing, quality tobacco and vaporizers, incense and locally made soaps and candles.
We’ve been lucky enough to test some of the soaps and candles recently and they are among the best we’ve ever used, intergrating Hokkaido grown products like lanvendar and yuzu to provide subtle unique fragrances.
Gift Shop Niseko is located on the 2nd floor in Hirafu 188 buiding, right across from Park Hotel and it’s defintely worth stopping by to pick up some great gifts. We checked it out recently and took some photos, but there’s plenty more in the shop.
