The waiting game continues here in Niseko for the first big dump of snow for the season. This morning after some early rain in the village the clouds parted revealing a fresh layer of snow around the summit of Mt. Annupuri.

This year entries have closed for the popular 6th Annual Kutchannel Niseko First Snow Contest when participants predict the first snowfall in Hirafu village. Speaking with Chris from Kutchannel yesterday is seems that this year Nov 14th has been a popular choice.
In the meantime in this mild weather hiking is fantastic – with the leaves now pretty much gone the views have really opened up. Have great week!
