Even with the season slowly winding down, there is still plenty of things happening here in Niseko, in fact there is loads still on offer.

Firstly, today is White Day here in Japan, which is a day for men to reciprocate the gifts that may have been received one month earlier during Valentine’s Day. It’s an interesting role reversal.

Tonight, Aaron Jamieson from Niseko Photography is holding a narrated exhibition from the two months he spent photographing in Greenland last year. The evening starts with ¥500 pre-event drinks at Niseko Cellars, followed by more ¥500 beers and 20% off pizzas at Niseko Pizza from 9PM.

If you missed the big band at Half Note last week, you’re in luck, they have another, SIXTEEN PIECE, Jazz orchestra playing from 8:30PM on Saturday the 15th. This is your last chance to see some big Jazz sounds at Half Note, so go along and listen to Galaxy Express Jazz Orchestra

It is also the time that things around start closing up, which means plenty of closing parties. Night skiing finishes Saturday the 22nd of March, and with it comes a closing ceremony fireworks display!

There are not one, but TWO music festivals happening in Niseko at the end of this month!

Waya Winter Sports Music Festival 2014 is a fusion of winter sports and a music festival, with their very own terrain park as well as a host of live bands performing. And, it wouldn’t be a festival in Japan if there weren’t loads of food stalls to gorge on. It is the biggest of its kind in Hokkaido, and is being held at Grand Hirafu Resort on Sunday the 23rd of March from 8AM. Tickets are ¥3500 if purchased in advance, or ¥4000 on the day.
