0.5cm or more has fallen for more than a week in Niseko. At 06:30 today the temperature was -3°C. We have had a dusting overnight. There is not enough to get that excited about but it is great to see some snow none the less. We can expect sunny weather for the next few days at least.
The last week has seen continued warm weather and even some serious rain events which has been unusual for this time of year. We have not had the usual run of March powder but there is not much we can do about that. The snowpack on the mountain has dropped 20cm at the peak and 40cm at the base so there is still plenty of snow to enjoy for the next month or more.
