*6cm of fresh snow has fallen in the last 24hrs just outside of Hirafu Village. At 7:00 today the temperature was -10°C.
The temperature has plummeted again and fresh snow blankets the region! Yesterday’s wet not has created a solid ice layer in the village with some fresh lighter now on top. The 6cm we have recorded in not indicative of the total amount as the wind has been howling.
Presently the snow has stopped falling and the wind doesn’t seem to bad a village level. There will be some excellent deposits of wind blown powder deposits all over the resort so have fun up there today. Ride safely and look out for you fellow skiers and boarders in the variable conditions.
