Stuart Tyrwhitt is a 15yr old snowboarder from Malaysia, who’s lived around the World. He learnt to ride in Switzerland initially but has been snowboarding in Niseko since he was 8, whilst doing Southern Hemisphere stints in both Aussie and, more recently, NZ.
Stuart spends 1-2 months every year riding in Niseko so he can credit a lot of his development to the area. He is currently training towards competing in the Junior World Freeride Tour. Last season in NZ, his first time competing in freeride events, he took two first places in the under 15s age group. This coming NZ season he’ll be aiming to qualify for the finals in Andora (but he’ll be back in Niseko to ride more pow before then)!
