*2cm of fresh snow has fallen in the last 24hrs in Hirafu Village. At 7:00 today the temperature was 1°C.
Warmer conditions this morning with warmer air from the south being drawn up into the Niseko region. Rain has been forecast in the afternoon so we advise getting up early and getting up there asap! The warmer weather is not expected to last long with another big storm due to hit early Sunday morning bringing with it lots of snow…
Be careful walking around the village and remember to look up! There are lots of huge cornices on the edges of building and door frames which could fall off at any moment in the warmer conditions today. Roads will also be very slippery so please take care – most accidents take place on the streets rather than on the mountain.
