*32.5cm of fresh snow has fallen in the last 24hrs in Hirafu Village. At 7:00 today the temperature was -12°C.
Guess what? It’s snowing in Niseko. Yesterdays astounding snowfall has transformed the village into blob land. Cars buildings, and pretty much anything has been smeared with a deep layer of snow.
We have had 174cm of snowfall in the last 7 days and that means anyone who has not been on top of their snow clearing is now definitely in trouble!
Snowfall is predicted throughout today and the coming week. Conditions on the mountain will again be fantastic although this mornings temperature is the coldest we have recorded this season at -12.
Face masks will be the order of the day and perhaps an extra layer.
Have great week.
