Last weekend the southern hemisphere’s snow season got underway with resorts in New Zealand, Australia and South America opening to great conditions. Here in Niseko the transformation into the green season is almost complete with the last remnants of snow disappearing.
It is an amazing time of year in Niseko, the summer growth cycle is in full force with vegetation exploding after the long winter. Some say the best way to experience the seasonal natural glory is by pedal power on either a road bike or mountain bike.
The beautiful quiet rolling roads perfect road cycling are well know but there is also a vast network of mountain bike trails suitable for beginners and experts alike all over the greater Niseko region.
* Caution is advised always ride in a group as there are bears in the area.
For those prepared the trails offer some serious fun.
