A downside to local tourism is the amount of rubbish that appears from the snow around Hirafu village every spring so it is great to see this event happening. This afternoon January 16th NISS will be leading a clean up walk from the Hirafu Welcome center to the outskirts of Izumikyo in Hirafu village picking up rubbish as they go. The walks starts at 16:30 and anyone is welcome to join and lend a hand keeping Hirafu clean.
