*4.5cm of fresh snow has fallen in the last 24hrs in Hirafu Village. At 6:30 today the temperature was 0°C.

Yesterday the snowfall continued throughout the day until mid afternoon and we have only had a dusting since then. Temperatures are expected to rise today but this shouldn’t make too much of a difference to the base on the mountain as there is at least 60-80cm higher up on the mountain already.
