*40.5cm of fresh snow has fallen in the last 24hrs just outside of Hirafu Village. At 7:00 today the temperature was 0°C.
The heavy snowfall over the last 24 hrs. Nice. The only problem is the wind. Yesterday the upper mountain was closed across Niseko United at this stage the wind still seems to be moderately strong at village level. Regardless there will be some great turns to be had whatever happens.
Conditions will be quite variable with exposed icy sections and ridiculously deep wind blown stashes so it may be quite dangerous. If you can ride with a friend and keep an eye out for your fellow boarders and skiers up there.
Have a good one.
