*12cm of fresh snow has accumulated in the last 24hrs in Niseko. At 7:00 today the temperature was 1°C. Heavy snowfall started last night around 8pm and continued all night. It is still snowing and forecast to continue throughout the day into Sunday with cold temperatures persisting. If this keeps up we might even…..dare to dream….could the resort open early this season?

This local legend makes the trip pretty much everyday on bike from Kutchan to Kabayama past Hirafu. In spring as soon as the snow has melted enough to ride the road you’ll see him cruising in every morning and in the afternoon cruising out on the way home. Think the gig may be up today. Keep an eye out for him. Respect!
