*16cm or more has fallen in the last 24 hours in Niseko. At 6:45 today the temperature was -4°C. Cold sucked in weather this morning with moderate winds and light snowfall. Yesterday the snow eased up through out the day but by early evening the tap had been turned on and we have had serious snowfall overnight which is exactly what we need. Hopefully the next few days of predicted snowfall will set us up for and epic opening day on the 5th.

ニセコでは過去24時間で16cm以上落ちています。今日の6:45の気温は-4°C <でした。今朝の天候は、穏やかな風と小雪で寒さが吸い込まれました。昨日は一日中雪が和らぎましたが、夕方までに蛇口がオンになり、一晩で深刻な降雪がありました。これはまさに私たちが必要としていることです。うまくいけば、予想される降雪の次の数日は、5日の壮大な初日のために私たちを準備しました。

360niseko Snow Station Readings Disclaimer
The 360niseko’s snow station for the 2020-21 season is in Higashiyama at 200m *The Hirafu Gondola is at 305m. Please be aware that this new reading is NOT in Hirafu village but a few kilometers down the road. There is always a deviation how and where the snow falls – the area is famous for micro climates and mini weather patterns. Some days there may be 10cm in Annupuri and 25cm in Hanazono and vice versa – some days 30cm of fresh snowfall comes down everywhere!! Altitude plays a big part as well so please don’t take the 360niseko snow readings as being definitive – the readings are taken from what is outside our house on the ground.
