*0cm of fresh snow has fallen in the last 24hrs in Hirafu Village. At 7:00 today the temperature was -5°C. The calm after the storm. This is the first time in 18 days that we have not had fresh snowfall in the morning…not a bad run. Today we have calm conditions with scattered clouds that are forecast to disappear by the afternoon. Keep an eye on the gate access today and read today’s avalanche report to scope out the best side and backcountry access. Cornices may look cool but please keep a safe distance and whatever you do don’t ride along the top of them!!
