*3cm of fresh snow has fallen in the last 24hrs in Hirafu Village. At 7:00 today the temperature was -2°C.

The temperature has dropped and it is snowing. Although there hasn’t been a lot of snowfall in the village higher up on the mountain more would have fallen. There should be some nice wind blown deposits of snow in sections next to the ski runs.
Snowfall is predicted for the remainder of the week with a serious storm approaching Saturday night which is expected to hit the region on Sunday.
