*0 of fresh snow has fallen in the last 24hrs in Hirafu Village. At 7:00 today the temperature was 4°C. Yesterday the rain held off for most of the day but by late afternoon moderate rainfall had set it and it continued for most of the night. It is unlikely that any of the rain fell as snow higher up on the mountain. It looks like our horror run of 9 days in a row of no snowfall could be over as of this evening when it is expected to dump. It is currently drizzling in Hirafu village to top it all off.
