*4.5cm of fresh snow has fallen in the last 24hrs just outside of Hirafu Village. At 7:30 today the temperature was 2°C.
Apologies for the delayed snow report!! This morning was quite possibly the most beautiful morning of the season with a light dusting of snow and brilliant blue skies. By mid morning the strong sunshine has cause significant melting around the village and it was a wild and wet scene out there.
Those of us who were lucky enough to ski or board today reported awesome powdery conditions higher up on the mountain and lovely groomed runs from top to bottom. The warm trend looks like it is here to stay for the remainder of the week with fresh snowfall predicted on the weekend.
