Classic Spring Action and a Gale
*0cm of fresh snow has fallen since the 9th of April, conditions have remained warm over the last 2 weeks and today the temperature is 9°c. The consistent snowfall we all enjoyed through December and January created a very solid snow pack with very few unstable layers which is now yielding a great base for spring skiing with top to bottom runs still to be enjoyed.

What’s Happening Today
There hasn’t been much variation for us and have been mainly been skiing and boarding around Niseko Hirafu following the path of least resistance. At this time of year getting up early for the groomed runs is the way to go and that is what we have been doing Nikabe, Furiko and Alpen have all been epic.
Powder Suck’s
Hirafu’s Spring Park has been fun this year and loved this guy’s board we noticed yesterday.
Although the powder seems to have disappeared for good the skiing has still been great…spring.
And this morning the upper lifts were closed due to strong winds….alas no park action today.
Niseko Annupuri is also still open and we will head over there next week to check out the conditions. Two weeks left of resort riding!
