What’s happening today
Today will see us venturing up Niseko Mt Resort Grand Hirafu Ski Ground and will make the most of the morning by hitting the groomed runs and doing a few top to bottom runs from Large into Jumbo and then full speed into Nikabe. It the weather holds will definitely hike the peak through gate 3.
Last Nighter for the 2012 Season
Last night was the final night opportunity to ride under the Grand Hirafu lights – from this evening the resort will stop running the lifts at 16:30 and there will be none of the familiar lights coming on. It has been an amazing season for ‘nighters’ and had to get up there last night and take a few shots on the new Hirafu Gondola and Grand Hirafu Mountain Center.
Check out the amazing night riding footage shot in Hirafu from the Japan Journals earlier this season.

Nighters in powder snow are the best! Until next season.
