Niseko Snow Report, 26 October 2015

by | Oct 26, 2015 | Snow Reports | 0 comments

*0.5cm of fresh snow has fallen in the last 24hrs in Hirafu Village. At 7:00 today the temperature was 4°C. The heavy snowfall didn’t materialise with the temperature remaining above freezing. At times a lot of snowfall came down in Hirafu but the temperature meant it quickly melted. From Wednesday the temperatures are forecast to drop and stay cold well into next week so perhaps we will have some fresh snow to report before too long.

Route 58 Hanazono to Goshiki Dumpage

With a fresh set of winter tyres ready for action we took the opportunity yesterday to drive from Hanazono up to Goshiki Onsen and see what was happening at higher elevations – we liked what we saw! It was absolutely dumping up there at around 10:30am with a solid 10-15cm on the road. The take away from the mission was…winter is almost here!
