Back to Pow

*7.1cm of fresh snow has fallen since yesterday morning and at 7:15am today the temperature was -8°C. It is snowing lightly in the Hirafu village right now but hopefully we will catch a few breaks in the weather with the sun breaking through. It is slightly colder this morning and the snow is very light and powdery so conditions will be excellent higher up on the mountain.

What’s happening today

Participants have already started arriving for the World Airlines Ski Championship 2012 and you will probably find lots of people having fun getting orientated around Niseko Village ski ground on a variety of runs such as, Misoshiru, Koguma and Final Fling

Later today in Hirafu village Herbies Umbrella Bar will hold another huge rail jam competition on their newly built rail set up from 4pm – a spectacle well worth checking out.

Yesterday i had the chance to take out Scott for a photo session and everything just fell into place – we made the most of our blue bird chances moved quickly and we got the shots. Cheers Scott.
