Its been a December to remember and after last years horror season it’s fantastic to see Niseko return to the normal pattern we hope for in the Powder Kingdom. The year is going to end how it started and we have 0 snowfall to report just like Jan 1 2017 but our snow depth numbers are looking far superior than last year and we are already closing in on the season total from 2016/2017.
360 would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year and thnk all our visitors for coming weather it’s the first time or 30th. Niseko has continued to evolve and develop and there has been a LOT of positive change that we are sure visitors are noticing around the resorts and villages. Tonight will be a big night for those that like to party and we would like everyone to have a great time but also keep an eye on your friends who may have an extra shot or one more beer than normal. The mountains are brutal and the cold does not go away so those walks home or a quick rest in the snowbank can soon turn nasty so be safe people.
There’s a storm and some solid snow forecast for the coming week and it’s due to kick in tonight so enjoy todays clear weather and clear vis riding.
The live cam could be really interesting tonight for anyone staying in so give it a look around 12.00.

360niseko Snow Station Readings Disclaimer
The 360niseko now has 2 snow stations for the 2017-18 season in Higashiyama at 200m and 300m *The Hirafu Gondola is at 305m. Please be aware that this new reading is NOT in Hirafu village but a few kilometers down the road. There is always a deviation how and where the snow falls – the area is famous for micro climates and mini weather patterns. Some days there may be 10cm in Annupuri and 25cm in Hanazono and vice versa – some days 30cm of fresh snowfall comes down everywhere!! Altitude plays a big part as well so please don’t take the 360niseko snow readings as being definitive – the readings are what is outside our houses on the ground.
