*21cm or more has fallen since 07:45 yesterday in Niseko. At 7:45 today the temperature was 0°C. Presently calm overcast conditions with light sporadic snowfall. From late afternoon yesterday a warm front came through the region and settled in with foggy relatively warm temperatures. Today the temperature will actually slowly start going down from 09:00 and by 16:00 will be -7. With heavy snowfall forecast over night chances are hight that we will have a heroic dump overnight.
Opening Weekend?
Grand Hirafu, Niseko Village and Niseko Annupuri will all be open from today with the lower lifts in operation. Hanazono are not open as of yet. Niseko Moiwa is open with their bottom 2 lifts and is the pick of the bunch with the best ridable terrain on offer. Check the Niseko United website from 08:30 to see what lifts are running.

360niseko Snow Station Readings Disclaimer
The 360niseko’s snow station for the 2022-23 season is in Higashiyama at 200m *The Hirafu Gondola is at 305m. Please be aware that this new reading is NOT in Hirafu village but a few kilometers down the road. There is always a deviation how and where the snow falls – the area is famous for micro climates and mini weather patterns. Some days there may be 10cm in Annupuri and 25cm in Hanazono and vice versa – some days 30cm of fresh snowfall comes down everywhere!! Altitude plays a big part as well so please don’t take the 360niseko snow readings as being definitive – the readings are taken from what is outside our house on the ground.
