Niseko Snow Report, 6 January 2023

by | Jan 5, 2023 | 22/23, Snow Reports | 0 comments

*1cm or more has fallen since 07:45 yesterday in Niseko. At 7:30 today the temperature was-5°C. Slightly milder conditions this morning with very light snowfall. After what seems like an eternity the constant snowfall is easing off. With many of the side country gates expected to open this morning for the first time this season it will be a powder frenzy like no other. If you are planning on venturing out of the gates make sure you are prepared and have all of the required equipment to save yourself and your fellow skiers / snowboarders. Have a good one!!

360niseko Snow Station Readings Disclaimer

The 360niseko’s snow station for the 2022-23 season is in Higashiyama at 200m *The Hirafu Gondola is at 305m. Please be aware that this new reading is NOT in Hirafu village but a few kilometers down the road. There is always a deviation how and where the snow falls – the area is famous for micro climates and mini weather patterns. Some days there may be 10cm in Annupuri and 25cm in Hanazono and vice versa – some days 30cm of fresh snowfall comes down everywhere!! Altitude plays a big part as well so please don’t take the 360niseko snow readings as being definitive – the readings are taken from what is outside our house on the ground.
