Go big or go to bed

*7cm of fresh snow has fallen since yesterday morning and at 7:40am today the temperature was -3°C. The sun is shinning a little but there is still light snow falling, nice.

Check what lifts are operating in real time on the Niseko United website.

Today is a big day in Hirafu village, the new Gondola is opening with a count down starting at 9:45am, then a quick ceremony before being able to take a ride from 9:50am. If you can’t make it you can look inside the new building on our Hirafu Gondola location page.

After a few runs down the mountain we are going to ride straight into Herbies Umbrella Bar for a drink, there’s rumours that there’s going to be a sick park built outside it with recycled junk, watch this space…

And then serious dancing will be in order at Wild Bills who will have the party jumping all night with minimal techno.
