The waiting game is over with the first snowfall in the Niseko region arriving last night! Usually Niseko get’s firast snowfall at higher elevation at the summit of Mt.Yotei then anything from a few days to a few weeks snowfall makes it’s was down to the summit of Mt.Annupuri and then finally at village level.This year the snow has blanketed everything down to around 500m in elevation.
It is always a very special time in Niseko welcoming the first snowfall. Today we should have continued snowfall at higher elevations and then a wet dreary week ahead judging by the forecast. Hard to say when we can expect the first snow accumulation at village level…..
