The long and highly anticipated redevelopment of Hirafu’s main road Hirafu-zaka has been steadily proceeding throughout the summer. With the demolition of the Kogen Hotel and J First Hotels the landscape surrounding the Welcome Center and upper village has been dramatically altered.

In addition to the redevelopment of Hirafu-zaka, Grand Hirafu is in the final stages of building a new Mountain Center at the bottom of the Alpen Run which will be a welcome upgrade to services for skiers and boarders on this part of the resort.
