Warm weather and rain has continued unabated for the last few days which has melted the recent snowfall significantly all over the mountain.
Mt Niseko Grand Hirafu Resort has postponed their scheduled opening day tomorrow until further notice.
That’s right no first tracks tomorrow. Here is the sad sight around Hirafu today.

Wild weather is expected Monday and then strong cold front moving into the region Tuesday which should result in the first big blizzard for the 2013-2014 season.
It is possible Grand Hirafu will not open until the November 30 but the resort will open as soon as it can. Fingers crossed for first tracks mid next week.
