After a huge season Nakayama-toge Ski Ground the last resort to remain open in Hokkaido finally closed for the season yesterday. Nakayama-toge literally means mountain pass and is located approximately half way between the center of Sapporo city and Niseko.
With blue skies, no wind and temperatures in the low 20’s a lot of people out making the most it in the perfect weather. A single lift was operating with skiers and boarders weaving their way down as best they could.

The mogul course was popular – wow!
There were lots of BBQ’s in action at the base of the resort – good times.
The jump looked tricky with a rutted out run in making it difficult to get enough speed then on the landing riders had to take a sharp left and then a sharp right to make it out.
There are lot’s more images to check out from the Powdershots Gallery. Nakayama-toge has been open since the 10 Nov!!!! Do the maths…. nearly 7 months?!? Now that the last resort has closed in Hokkaido the 360niseko team will publish out final snow report data shortly. How much snow did fall in Niseko Hirafu again?
