In a nutshell Shimamaki Snowcats offer 2 to 4 day tours including accommodation in Shimamaki. The tours are NOT for everyone – you need to be a proficient to advanced skier or boarder to make the most of the trip and not be the annoying slow ‘punter’ in a group! But hey people can always hire a own private cat and wallow around in the snow for hours on end. The trips are not cheap so if you are on a budget forget it.
If you are looking for an amazing trip of a life time in a remote stunning environment run by world class guides safely then this is something to look into. The terrain in amazing, the snow is brilliant the cultural experience is immense and intense. To find out more about the tours read through the HBC extensive website and then contact them if need be but get in quick as availability is limited already.
